Death Knight Build: Blood With Permanent Ghoul

There are an array of interesting and useful Death Knight builds. Death Knights are truly a diverse and flexible class, with talents that include high DPS, tanking, off tanking or main tanking, counter spells, kiting, and self healing.

One interesting build that we found was a Blood build with permanent ghoul and blood worms. Sounds good? Well, it is. The ghoul stays up and helps with stun, kiting, dps and ranged melee attacks. The blood worms do DPS and heal the DK.

Death Knights in PVP: Ownership

In PVP combat Death Knights are one of the top classes. Most all top 2V2 arena teams contain a Death Knight and a Paladin. One of the reasons Death Knights are so fierce in PVP is that they have counter spells against all other classes.

For PVP there are two specs that you should use: Unholy and Blood.
( Frost Death Knights On PVP: WTB Healer )

Weakness:
- susceptibility to snare and root effects

To close the gap during PVP:
- must rely instead upon either Death Grip to close the distance gap or Chains of Ice

Blood Death Knight For PVP or PVE

Question:

Is Blood spec. for Death Knight bad for PVP? Also, is Unholy the best PVP spec?

+++Here is a decent answer we found from blog posts: BY: MessiQ on thottbot.com/v4296892

Blood is far more a single target dps build and self healing build and as such lends itself to easier boss dps but harder group PvP damage.

Unholy is more about AoE damage and DoT's and lends itself to plowing head-long into a group of players and popping all your A.O.E. spells to generate some serious dps numbers although struggles for single target damage accordingly (it can do but risks aggro in instance groups due to high threat).

Frost is a good mix of the two with good CC measures thrown in as well (can do some extra AoE damage but can generate nice numbers on single targets too - although very reliant on crits rather than constant damage).

Death Knights and Pallies ALWAYS on top for PVP

Well, it is official. Almost every single #1 arena team contains Death Knights and Pallies. We haven't been able to find a single #1 arena team that wasn't a Pally / Death Knight combo. (Death Knights are the dominant OP class all-around, perhaps because Blizzard wants to boost hours players spend in-game--creating a rat race to level yet another toon.)

arena, classes, Death Knight, OP, Paladin, PVP, talents

Ret. Paladins have long been OP with an incredibly efficient mana usage, unbeatable stun plus DPS for PVP, and an I-WIN bubble. You will often see a Pally in the middle of four enemy players simply taking for ever to die, while muttering" LOL or ROFL.

Unfortunately, this makes the game dull. Yes, it will boost traffic, since many players who were once Shamans, Hunters, Warlocks, and Priests will now have to ditch their under-powered classes and level one of Blizzard's "chosen" classes. But this will also cause players to become fed up with the bull shit and spend less hours trying to get an 1800+ PVP rating.

Shamans, Hunters, Warlocks, and Priests are now non-PVP classes. Of course there are excepts. There are players who can muscle it out and join a PVP team to get a decent spot.....ONLY if those teams contain a Pally, Mage, Druid or Death Knight. Druid s optional or borderline.

This will cause those under-powered classes to cease to exist. For example, look for Elemental or Retro. Shamans or Shadow Priests...yes there are a few, but compared to Paladins(?).
